A 19th-century brownstone, formerly configured as multi-unit rentals, was transformed into a family residence through a full gut renovation and structural reconfiguration. The scope included a roof raise to create additional floor area, cellar excavation for expanded program space, and a complete rebuild of all interior systems and finishes.
Located in prime Williamsburg, the project required close coordination across time zones, with the owner based in Italy. All major materials were sourced internationally and shipped to New York, including a custom staircase, bespoke fixtures, and imported marble, each element carefully selected to align with the owner’s vision.
The project was completed in under 12 months.
