At the edge of Williamsburg and Greenpoint, 28 Herbert sits quietly along a block of low-rise homes, but the idea behind it was anything but quiet. Pinner Development envisioned one of Brooklyn’s first carbon-neutral condominiums, and Prime Builders worked closely with them to bring that vision to life.
From the start, the project moved forward as a shared effort. The vertical wood fins were designed to soften the building’s presence and connect naturally with the nearby brownstones. Inside, the team leaned into warm, simple finishes that feel welcoming and grounded. The goal was a balance of thoughtful design and mindful construction.
Throughout the build, Prime and Pinner worked side by side to shape the details, refine the materials, and make sure the building felt both elevated and connected to its surroundings. Every step focused on communication, clarity, and staying true to the project’s purpose.
The completed building stands as a calm and considered expression of what the team set out to achieve: a sustainable home that feels warm, livable, and rooted in the character of the neighborhood.
